Darrel Cherney is an on-camera and voice actor known for his appearances on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. (2014), Matador (2014), Westworld (2016) and Criminal Minds (2005).
He was born and raised in Milladore, Wisconsin, a dairy farm community of less 300 people. He is of Czech-Bohemian descent. Darrel spent his early years working on his father’s farm and bussing into city schools. His first step towards acting came with a sketch-comedy troupe in college, whose members encouraged him to pursue a degree in theater.
Darrel received a BFA from the conservatory program at The University Wisconsin-Milwaukee. After some regional theater credits and a tour with Montana Shakespeare in the Parks, Darrel set sights for Los Angeles and the film and television industry.
Darrel often portrays dark characters and lovable jerks. He is a diehard Green Bay Packers fan and a motorcycle enthusiast. His voice may be recognizable from ad campaigns for FOX, University of Phoenix and Fiskars.
